Dr. Ashley Escamilla
Dr. Ashley Escamilla is the owner and treating chiropractor at Active Spine & Health. She is a native of Hebbronville, Texas where she grew up and graduated high school. She was always interested in the medical field, the human body and helping people. Growing up she thought she would become a pediatrician due to her love for children, but God had other plans for her. She played a lot of sports throughout her adolescent years which led her to chiropractic and physical therapy due to pain.
She began her college career at Texas State University where she studied and received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sport Science- Pre Physical Therapy.
Throughout college she did a lot of volunteering and shadowing at local and nearby physical therapy clinics to be exposed to as much as possible. After graduating she worked as a physical therapy technician, where she gained further knowledge in therapy and rehabilitation that she continues to use today.
She went on to attend and graduate from Texas Chiropractic College where she earned her doctoral degree in chiropractic. While attending TCC, she started working towards her passion for pediatric and pregnancy chiropractic by taking extra courses, as well as completing an acupuncture course. She also went on a mission trip to the Domican Republic to assist the less fortunate. She completed her preceptorship at Batterton Chiropractic and HealthPro Chiropractic & Acupuncture.
Dr. Escamilla is board certified in acupuncture and has a Webster Certification (prenatal). She is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Texas Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. When she isn’t in the office or furthering her education you can find her laying out by the pool, on a tennis court, catching up on her DVR or cheering on her Spurs, Cowboys and Astros. She loves hanging out with her husband, family, friends and traveling. She especially loves her adorable Bernedoodle Remmie.
